先日中国から直輸入で購入したキーボードの交換用キーキャップ。
値段も安く(送料込みで1500円ほど)クオリティも高く、SteelSeries M750に換装して満足していましたが、交換時にスペースキーの反応の悪さに気付き、赤軸Switchのメンテが必要と判断。
いろいろ調べてみたところ概ね接点のクリーニングで復活する(物理的故障は少ない)という結論に至ったので呉社のコンタクトスプレーを購入。(実際に購入したのはProの方、500円前後が多い)
キーキャップを外し、押し込んだ状態で回りに飛び散らないようにしながら直接スプレーしてみました。
プラスティックや樹脂に影響の無いタイプのスプレーのため、ある程度行き渡るように多めに吹き付けてSwitchを上下させて接点に届くよう数回繰り返し。
※他社からも同等品が出ていますがプラパーツ等に影響の無いものを選びましょう。
実際にキーボードを接続し、テストしながら行ったところ、最初は反応の鈍かったスペースキーも回数を重ねるごとに反応が良くなり、3回目くらいには完全復活。
その後は不具合を感じることもなく安定動作しています。
今回すごく思ったこととしては、日常的に使用するキーボードはとても汚れやすく、ゴミも溜まりやすい。(キーキャップを外すと意外とホコリ等の蓄積が多い)
製品保証の対象内(分解しない)でのお手入れだと掃除出来ない部分も出てくるため、消耗品であることは変わりないけれどソコソコ掃除して使った方が長持ちすると思います。
チャタリングやキーの反応が悪く、修理や買い替えを考えている場合は一度このようなスプレーでのお手入れをおすすめします。
