先日発売されたSENNHEISER IE100PROと同じスペックの従来機種IE40PROを実機画像を含めながら再度比較したいと思います。
並べて撮影してみましたが形状は同じ、スペックも表記上は同じ
画像ではわかりづらいですが、透けて見える中身もMMCXとペンタコンであることを除けば同じに見えました。
音も主観ですが変わらないと思います。※個体差等は含めない前提です
比較していると付属のケーブルの質感が違うため、ケーブルは端子以外も同等品ではない可能性が高いです。
主観ですが、IE100付属のケーブルはやや硬め、IE40付属ケーブルの方が少しですが柔らかいです。
また、IE40付属のケーブルの方が2～3cmですが長いです。
どちらもコネクターが特殊で相変わらずリケーブルの選択が乏しいので、そういう要素も含めると価格帯でよく比較されるSHUREのSE215を選ぶのも一つかなと思います。
※自分ならSE315を選ぶと思います。(たまに使ってます)
また、こちらは個人的な経験を踏まえての意見ですが、シェルの形状、耐久性は上位機種のIE400、IE500より高く、IE100＆IE40のシェルの完成度は高いと思います。
上位機種よりも構造を簡素化したことにより、結果的に耐久性が高くなっているような印象です。
IE500のノズル周りの耐久性が弱く、イヤーピースを交換していると緩んでいくことを経験しています。
ちなみに修理に出すと基本的に丸ごと交換(それ修理じゃないやん？)になり、片方2万円かかるそうなのでそのあたりはプロユースを謳っている製品としては上位機種なのに微妙だなと思います。
